Which Social Media Platforms Should Your Business Use?

A huge question that we get is “What social media platforms are best for my business?”.

Well, each social media platform is a bit different and has different capabilities and benefits. So let’s run through some of the most important channels and break down what each channel should be used for:

Instagram

Instagram is a highly visual platform. You’ll clean great photos AND videos to stand out. Reels are taking over Instagram and to be successful they NEED to be part of your strategy. Instagram has also introduced Instagram Shopping which allows users to purchase products directly from the app. So if you have an e-commerce business you should invest in some Instagram marketing!

Facebook

This platform is great for driving website and blog traffic. It is easy to post links, which you should definitely take advantage of whether you are selling products or services on your website or want to increase blog traffic. Facebook is also a great tool for paid ads so you can reach your target audience QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is truly a professional network, and the content you post should reflect that. Great content ideas are articles that your business is mentioned in, or articles that are relevant to your industry and you would like to provide a comment or some insight on. Share professional tips and tricks, blog articles, company updates, and more.

Twitter

Thinking about diving into the Twitter world? You’ll want to post short (only 280 characters or less) tweets that are interesting, sometimes witty, and use relevant hashtags. Your Twitter strategy will likely be much different than other platforms that you use. You should be re-tweeting relevant content to your business and adding commentary that reflects your company.
