How to develop your brand voice on social media

Have you ever wondered what it was about a certain brand that just makes them, them? Most likely, it is their brand voice! A brand voice is the flare and witt that a brand uses that differentiates them from other brands. Your voice will eventually be so distinct that your following will be able to link it to your brand! Here are our tips  on how to develop your brand voice, and how to apply it!

Think about how the voice will fit the brand- First things first, when figuring out what you want your brand voice to be we suggest it to match with your actual brand.This step seems obvious, but you’d be surprised! For example, if you own a brand that coincides with the outdoors, you don't want an “adorable” brand voice! Make sure your brand and brand voice compliment each other well. 

Make a list - When figuring out your brand voice our best advice is sit down and create a list of certain adjectives you associate your brand with. These words should all go hand in hand together! Examples of adjectives that you could associate your brand with would be: cute, bold, sassy, etc. 

Incorporate - Now, after you have created your list, work on incorporating these adjectives into the way you write content, your posts, and even the way you respond with customer service. Your brand voice should be worked into every aspect of your brand.
